Uplifting Outlook – Original Art by the Author

Have you ever had one of those moments that just blows your mind?  Last night, I did.

No, not that kind of mind blowing moment.

About a year ago, I had a… let’s just call it a vision, shall we?  I’ll just plead the fifth about how it came about.  Suffice it to say I had an interesting conversation that I thought was with myself, but after what I found out last night, I’m not so sure.

Let me set the scene.

I was asking questions of this ‘source’, trying to find out some answers about myself, my life, and I was told that some issues I was having was because (and I’m using the ‘source’s’ terms here) Continue reading

Hunger – A Preventable Tragedy

Do you know what happens to that perfectly good double cheeseburger that you ordered with no pickles when you return it to the fast food restaurant because they put pickles on it?  Well, if they don’t break the rules and just toss it back under the heat lamp for the next customer, they toss it.

Perfectly good food, tons of it, gets tossed in the garbage every single night all around the world.  Why?  Because our laws are set up that way.

If a restaurant makes too much food (and they do every single day) the law says that for them to get a better tax break on the ‘loss’, they must throw it in the trash.  If they donate it to the needy – the poor, the homeless – they don’t get a break on their taxes due to Uncle Sam (or if they do, it’s not comparative to the ‘loss’ tax break).  In addition, they put LOCKS on their garbage containers, to intentionally prevent the hungry that are willing to sacrifice their dignity and dig through garbage for food from reaching it.  In fact, should someone decide to breach these holy bastions of garbage to relieve the ache in their bellies, they can be arrested for stealingContinue reading

I’d like to ask those of you reading this to suspend your disbelief and skepticism for the few minutes it will take to get through.  I encourage you all to watch the video I’ve referenced, to share your thoughts on what’s entailed here, and to research the content on your own.  I don’t claim to be a scientist, nor an expert, but when I saw this, I was utterly flabbergasted that it could even be possible.  It’s a scary thought, if it’s true, that we are voluntarily poisoning ourselves and our children.

Those of you who have followed my blog know that I am exploring an interest in the metaphysical; things like psychic ability, reincarnation, etc.  In this topic, much mention is made about the ‘third eye’, it’s function, and the belief that the pineal gland in the human brain is actually its location.  I started looking into this because I read something that mentioned fluoride actually calcifies the pineal gland, which alarmed me because of its significance to psychic abilities, and calcifying/stopping up/killing this gland, if indeed it is the source of these abilities, is definitely NOT a good thing.  What I found was way worse than that.

Today, as I was perusing some of the sites I was considering using for my ‘Related Posts’ section of a post, I ran across a post (can’t remember how I got there) entitled ‘Do Electromagnetic Fields Affect The Pineal Gland, Limiting Human Consciousness?‘.  This naturally piqued my curiosity, because of the possible relation of the pineal gland to certain metaphysical functions in humanity including enlightenment and ESP, so I read it, and clicked on a link it contained about fluoride because I’ve heard many people mention in passing that it was bad for us, and more recently, someone whose opinion I respect very much has mentioned more than once that fluoride is poisoning us.  This link brought me to a page that had many links regarding fluoride, and I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of articles, so I just scanned through and clicked one randomly.  I was very happy with my choice, because it ended up containing documentaries/public addresses on several subjects, some of which I may post about at a later date, but today, I’ll just focus on fluoride.   Continue reading

Day 201 - I'm the Real Betty Boop

I was surfing the net, looking for something to post about under my ‘interesting’ category, when I ran across something absolutely poleaxed me.  At first, I thought this was fake.  I thought it was just some smart-ass grabbing random photos, doctoring them, then posting to make it appear that the person in the photos was the perpetrator.  Once I reached the bottom of the article, however, I saw the ‘add to this’ section, where people were posting similar pictures, straight off of their friend feed.

Maybe I’m behind the times.  Maybe I’ve finally reached a generational gap that is wide enough to allow me to say ‘Those darned kids’ without getting strange looks, considering I’m only in my early 30’s.  I mean, I’ve never been one to be on the cutting edge.  Obviously.  I started a blog about 10 years after it was the ‘in’ thing to do.  But am I really so far out of the loop that I am the only one who is left totally flummoxed at the lengths to which people will go to appear something they’re not?
