Lunch Should Not Be A Sin

… but this one comes REALLY close!

Words can not express how good this sandwich was!

I know the picture is crap, but I was in a hurry to EAT it, LOL!

What you’re looking at here is:

Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, Cheddar, and Provolone on homemade Parmesan Oregano bread, topped with Red Onion, Oregano, Mayo and Olive Oil.

I thought my sandwich from last night was good… I was wrong.  This is the closest non-dessert I’ve come to sin on a plate.

I also made some Apple Cinnamon Macadamia Bread with Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Crust, for which I got the base recipe here, added a few ingredients (like Macadamia nuts and a handful of oatmeal), substituted a couple of ingredients (sunflower oil for canola, pumpkin pie spice mix for ground clove and allspice).  It turned out pretty tasty, if I do say so myself!

What’s Provolone? As a Pollotarian (only eat the occasional organic free range but of chicken, so I’m probably more Vegetarian in a mouth than Chicken eater lol) I can sounds it sounds yummy apart from the beef. As someone who doesn’t eat lunch, My God girl that looks like heaven on a plate that I would be way too afraid to eat lol I can taste it in my mouth now ggggrrrrrrrr

Provolone is a mild, white cheese, usually sold here in slices, and used a lot on sandwiches. It’s one of my favorite types of cheese outside of the sharp cheddars.

Mmm, I love beef. Roast Beef, Corned Beef, Steak, Prime Rib, Beef Tips in Gravy…

I’m a hard-core carnivore, and eat almost all of my red meat on the rare side. But to each their own 🙂 I know why you eat the way you eat, and even if I didn’t, I still respect everyone else’s right to choose what they consume.

What do you think of my bread? It turned out so much better than I thought it would! Even the second batch that didn’t turn out as good was still WAY better than anything I’ve bought off the shelf at the store!

Please excuse the lack of humility in my reply when I say:

      It IS amazing!

I’ve eaten sandwiches at some of those frou-frou restaurants that couldn’t even think of comparing to it… add to that the extra pride in knowing I baked the bread myself, and it’s incomparable to anything I’ve ever purchased before.

To be honest, I’d pay $10 for that sandwich (if someone could actually get me to try it for the first time, that is… I’m not one to pay that kind of scratch for a sandwich I’ve never tried before) at a restaurant/bakery/deli type place.

Words can’t express just how good that sandwich really was.

I wish you could have tried it, but alas, you’ll have to make the bread yourself if you want one, LOL!
